Sindbad Tours takes us to the Jordanian border tomorrow morning.

We all have to be packed up and ready to go tomorrow morning at 8am.  Our regular driver from Sindbad tours is picking us up from the hotel and delivering us an hour and a half later to the checkpoint at the northern border.  Once there we get our luggage and walk through the border and wait to have our luggage inspected.  Once that's done, we board another bus for the trip to Amman.

  1. Okay, it's morning.

Yesterday at noon, I thought I was packed and ready to go -- that is, until right before I went to bed last night. I went looking for papers and contact information that I didn't want to leave behind. I also picked a few leaves and blooms to press in a book for later reference.

The breakfast buffet opens in a few minutes. I am typing here while taking sips of a luke warm Coke Zero (caffeine), wondering if I'll get things pack in okay way, and hoping the border won't go rifling through my luggage. It'll be packed very carefully.

It is a strange that a place (this "Holy" land -- a piece of rock nearly the whole religious world wants to claim) that I despised so much to begin with, is a place that I miss and I haven't even left yet. I think that somewhere along the way, I have given part of my heart to the people I've interacted with. I'm leaving a big BIG mess and part of my heart.
